Kathi Spinelli Winter

Kathleen “Kathi” Mareta (Feenan) Spinelli Winter, 72, passed away July 5 at Sutter Solano Medical Center in Vallejo surrounded by her family. Kathi was born in Richmond, CA on May 28, 1949 to Robert Peter F. Feenan and Dolores Jean Hill. She graduated from Vallejo High School in 1967 and lived most of her life in Vallejo. She held various occupations throughout her lifetime. She was employed at Broadway Hospital, Pot Belly Deli, Family Doctors Medical Group, Uri and Wright Attorney at Law, all of Vallejo; Badger Meter, Richmond; and was a bartender at Georges Den and the Village in Vallejo, the Del Rio in Isleton and Fosters Big Horn in Rio Vista. She ended her career as the Caretaker of Webb Tract Duck Club. Kathi enjoyed camping, water skiing, jet skiing, gold mining, fishing, gardening, and photographing sunsets. She was an accomplished seamstress and baker and will always be remembered for her special “Kathi’s Cookies.” She was a great storyteller and loved to tell the tale of being crowned Queen of the Isleton Crawdad Festival. Kathi loved sports and relished being a member of the VWSA playing for Scola Electric and Reds Pizza softball teams, the Relay Club bocce ball team, and the Petrie Chiropractic Whaleboat Regatta team. She was especially fond of her many years serving as a member of the Vallejo Women’s Sports Association with her mother and sisters. Kathi was preceded in death by her mother Jean (Jim) Reeves; brother-in-law, Kevin Harry; and nephew, Justin Nunes. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Spinelli (Mark) Petrie; her father, Robert Peter F. (Dixie) Feenan; siblings, Denise (Bill) Pendergast, Mike (Janet) Feenan, David Nunes, Robin (Mark Flynn) Crowder, Rhonda (Tom) Farrell, Bob Feenan, Lori Harry, Jim (Carolyn) Reeves and Kevin (Kristen) Feenan; grandchildren, Dallas, Lacie, Marisa and Caylie Petrie; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and extended family members.
