Mr. Luis Manuel Lomas, 77, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, in Vallejo, California. Born on August 25, 1948, in Ajoya, Sinaloa, Mexico, Luis lived a remarkable life that spanned decades of change and countless cherished moments. At the age of 16, Luis embarked on a journey to the United States that would shape his future and the lives of generations to come. A man of unwavering dedication and resilience, he worked tirelessly throughout his life, instilling a strong work ethic in his children and grandchildren. His love for his family was boundless and evident in every aspect of his life. Luis was married twice during his lifetime. He was predeceased by his first wife and the mother of his three children, Margarita Lomas. Together they raised their children—Hilda, Oscar, and Margarita—with love and care. Later in life, Luis found companionship again with his second wife, Miriam Betancord, who survives him. He also leaves behind a legacy through his four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Luis had a zest for life that was infectious to those around him. He loved dancing and music, often finding joy in the rhythm of a song or the sway of a dance floor. A lover of travel, he explored far beyond what he might have imagined as a young boy in Ajoya—even making it as far as Honduras. He appreciated the simple pleasures in life: being outdoors surrounded by nature’s beauty or sharing meals with loved ones. Food was more than sustenance to Luis; it was an expression of love—a way to connect with others and show he cared. A self-proclaimed foodie in a humble way, Luis delighted in feeding people and savoring flavors from all walks of life. His passion for animals and the outdoors reflected his deep appreciation for life's details—an appreciation he passed down to his family through countless lessons and shared experiences. Luis witnessed the world evolve in ways he could never have imagined as a child. One moment that stood out was riding in a Tesla—a symbol of how far both he and the world had come since his early days in Mexico. It was these moments of wonder that defined Luis: always finding joy in the extraordinary within the ordinary. Luis was the beloved son of Maria Elena Lomas Alaron and eldest brother of 9 siblings. He is also predeceased by his father, Abraham Lomas, and his brother, Ramiro Lomas. Their memories remained close to him throughout his life. Luis’s legacy is one of love, hard work, and an enduring spirit that embraced every opportunity life offered. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him to cherish family bonds, savor life's simple joys, and approach each day with gratitude. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM at Twin Chapels Mortuary 1100 Tennessee Street . Rosary will begin at Noon Funeral service will begin at 1pm
