Charles "Chuck" Moreno
June 8, 1929 - December 28, 2021
Chuck Moreno passed away at Mendoza Care Facility in Vallejo on Tuesday December 28th, 2021, due to natural causes. Papa Charlie, as he was affectionately known by his grandchildren, was born in Mexico territory later to become the State of Arizona. The family made their way to Vallejo to find work at the Mare Island Naval Ship Yard. Chuck became a ballroom dance instructor at Casa de Vallejo Arthur Murry Dance Studio, where he met his wife Lee Moreno. Later Chuck was employed by Purity and Safeway grocery stores. Chuck lived his life working hard and entertaining many with his incredible ability to dance. Chuck was a loyal and dedicated friend and led by example. He loved his daily workout routine of 1000 sit ups per session at Kentwig Health Club. An avid Giants and 49er fan he personally witnesses “The Catch” from the end zone by 49er Dwight Clark. Chuck was proceeded in death by his wife Lee, oldest son Bennie, parents and siblings; Lillie, Jimmy, Frank, Francis, Tony & Lowell. Survivors include; Sister Rosie Bethman, Sons; Mike (Sally) & Perry Moreno, as well as grandchildren; Sheila Gibson, Dr. Jessica Moreno (Juan Rubio), Christopher, Charlie and Brianna. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Josephine Mendoza Care Home, Staff & Hospice. Due to COVID-19 conflict services will be private.
