DOROTHY L. THACKER December 4, 1933 – November 20, 2013 Dorothy Lillian Thacker, 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday at her home in Vallejo. Dorothy was born to Joseph and Agnes Fashauer on December 4, 1933 in San Francisco and has lived in Vallejo the past 71 years. She worked as a Personnel Specialist on Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 26 years and, upon her retirement, worked 10 years at H&R Block as a Tax Preparer. Dorothy loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, gambling trips, driving to San Francisco for a crab louie, gardening, and the companionship of her dogs. She was an avid fan of the Vallejo Speedway and the NFL cheering for both the 49ers and the Raiders. She was also a talented swimmer. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Agnes Fashauer, her husband, Calvin C. Thacker Jr. and her sister, Josephine Hart. Survivors include her children, Robert (Beverly) Thacker , Catherine Tomko, Susan (Steve) Cochran; and Calvin III (Vicky) Thacker; brother Joseph (Joanne) Fashauer; sister-in-law, Joanne (Don) Ormonde; brother-in-law, Lloyd Mullican; grandchildren, Tim, Rick, John, George, Calvin IV, Kelly, Alyssa, Brian & Matthew. 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Sunday and a Catholic Prayer Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo.
