Edward Wah Kee Hee August 10, 1938 – August 17, 2019 Edward Wah Kee Hee, 81 passed away Saturday at his home in Vallejo following complications from a stroke. Edward was born to Bue Hee and Bernice Lum in Honolulu, HI on August 10, 1938. When he was 9 years old his family relocated to Guandzhou, China for his father’s business. While in China, Edward learned to cook and sew from his grandmother while he and his brother worked as caretakers to a small herd of water buffalo. In his teenage years the family moved back to the United States, settling in San Francisco, California where Edward graduated from Galileo High School in 1959. He was drafted and served in the US Army as a Medic stationed at Ft. Ord, Monterey, California. Upon his honorable discharge, he worked as an Offset Printer / Graphic Designer for over 50 years. He was employed by Mission College in Santa Clara and Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto. He retired in 2014. Edward was a very special man, friend and parent. He was a single father and proud to have raised his only daughter from the time she was 7 months old. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Evelyn; and sister in-law, May. Survivors include his fiancé, Betty Hebert; daughter Lori Hee Sellner; son in-law, Brian Sellner; stepdaughter, Lillian Hebert (Stephen); brothers, Edmund (Arlene), Kenneth (Lana) and Edson; Nieces and nephews, Eric (Sherri), Michelle, Kenny, Kevin, Liana, Kristen, Michael and Aimee (Steven); and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Emma and Alma. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and funeral services with military honors at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 24 at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo. Burial will be private at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, California.
