GAYLE V. CORDERO-GARRISON MARCH 8, 1975 – JUNE 29, 2021 Gayle V. Cordero-Garrison, age 46, of Vallejo, California, left this world to be with the Lord on June 29th, 2021 7:47AM. Gayle was born in Puerto Rico to Herminio Capistrano Cordero and Perla Manois Vinluan on March 8th, 1975 and spent a majority of her life in Vallejo, California. She attended the Napa Valley College Police Academy to pursue a career as a Dispatcher. Gayle achieved her goals and was a dispatcher for the California Highway Patrol Golden Gate Division from 2000-2005. After her time in the workforce, she focused on caring for her family and her health while maintaining her beloved connection to the Vallejo Police Department. She married David Matthew Garrison on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2007. She continued her life to be a successful and supportive daughter to her father, Herminio, as well as a wife and mother, helping raise her three sons, Anthonie, Isaiah, and Emmanuel, and her daughter, Jazmine. Gayle was skilled at and enjoyed cooking for her family. A few of the things she loved cooking were various types of pasta as well as barbequing. She would often spend days barbequing on the grill outside, and she loved barbequing on holidays like Fourth of July. Her food was loved by her family, especially by her children who would immediately start getting hungry as soon as they smelled the food she made. The meals she created will live on through her family members who thoroughly enjoyed them. She was also known by her loved ones for the incredible, infectious laugh she had during conversations and the nurturing attitude she displayed to everyone around her. Any time you needed her, she was there. If she could tell something was wrong, she would check in with you. Gayle exuded a positive and supportive attitude that left an impact on those who got to know her. Gayle’s life on this Earth was as beautiful as the various flowers and plants she liked to grow in the front yard. Gayle’s positive influence on this world will live on. She is survived by her husband, David; her four children, Anthonie, Isaiah, Jazmine, and Emmanuel; her father, Herminio; her sisters, Hazel and Rosalee; her brother-in-law, Glenn; her Boston Terrier, Zoe; and several nieces and nephews that she so deeply loved. Visitation will be held 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM on Tuesday, July 6 at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, July 6 at St. Vincent’s Ferrer Catholic Church, 925 Sacramento St., Vallejo. Inurnment will be private.
