Louis R. Jacques

May 10, 1929 - March 19, 2022

Louis R Jacques, better known as Lou, Louie, dad, grandpa and GG , passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home after a short illness. He was born on May 10th, 1929, to Joseph Cardosa Jacques and Amelia Lewis Jacques. Lou shared his birthday with his father. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Joe (Marty), Andre, George (Maria), and Jim (Barbara). He was also preceded by the love of his life his wife Virginia, who he was married to for 49 years. He is survived by his sister Betty (Jim) Precour, his children Connie (Dennis) Klimisch, Jeaneen Wright, Kenny and Robert (Barbara). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, his sister-in-law Sherie (Joe) Branch, brother-in-law Glenn (Sherry) Rinehart and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Our dad’s joys in life were his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved watching and listening to sports, especially the SF Giants and SF 49ers. In earlier years he was an avid bowler. He also liked his annual “fishing trips” with his high school buddies Skip and Charlie. We were never quite sure why he didn’t bring back more fish, but we knew he had a great time. Our dad served in the army during the Korean War and had many stories to tell. Right down to the end he was a jokester. He enjoyed making others laugh. For some it was hard for them to tell when he was joking and when he was serious but for many it brought joy. After the passing of our mother, our dad took care of our brother Kenny for 14 years before putting him in a group home run by Milestones. Our dad was a saint caring for Kenny. In Lieu of Flowers please make a donation to Milestones Adult Development – Vallejo. 1 Florida Street. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM with funeral services at 1 PM on Friday, March 25 at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo. Military honors and burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Vallejo. Arrangements entrusted to the direction and care of Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo (707) 552-6696. www.TwinChapelsMortuary.com.
