Manuel Casas Rafael

September 15, 1984 - March 27, 2022

Manuel Casas Rafael, 37, of Vallejo, California passed away on March 27, 2022, in Goodyear, Arizona due to a tragic car accident. Manuel was born on September 15, 1984, in Napa, California, His parents Mr. Manuel Rafael Medina and Mrs. Maria Refugio Rafael happily raised him, alongside his older sister, Sandra Rafael and younger sister, Alejandra Rafael in Vallejo, California. Manuel attended Steffan Manor Elementary School, Springstowne Middle School, and Hogan High School in Vallejo. During his life, Manuel enjoyed playing soccer and lowriders. Manuel’s best friends from high school, Jaime Gonzalez and Ernesto Gonzalez, continued their friendships to this day. They were viewed as The Three Musketeers. Manuel worked for CTPS, a warehousing recycling business, since November 23, 2020, where he was Site Shift Lead. Manuel was recognized as a hard-working employee and was given the opportunity to travel to other sites in Georgia, New York, and Arizona to improve struggling sites. Manuel was happy working for CTPS and enjoyed the opportunities to travel. Manuel enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, listening to corrido's, collecting hats, cologne, and clothes. He was a fan of the San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants. Manuel was a proud Vallejoean and represented Vallejo to the fullest. Manuel was devoted to Señor San Andrés Apostle and San Judas Apostle. Señor San Andrés is the saint that is patronized by the small town that his parents were from, San Andrés Ixtlán, Jalisco, Mexico. San Judas Apostle is the patron of desperate causes and situations and lost causes. Manuel stated that San Judas Apostle granted him a miracle and for that reason he was devoted to him. Manuel would always wear his rosary around his neck when he went out and knew that his mother prayed for him every day. He is survived by Mr. And Mrs. Rafael, parents; Sandra Rafael, sister; Alejandra Rafael (Hernandez), sister; Camila Rafael-Hernandez, niece; and Jorge Hernandez, brother-in-law. Manuel’s niece, Camila, was his everything, he would always talk about her and show pictures of her when he had the opportunity. Whenever he traveled, he would bring Camila a special momentum. He will be missed by many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and co-workers. Manuel’s sense of humor, smile, laughter, and good heart are characteristics that many of us will miss. Although he is no longer with us in person, the memories we all shared with him will be held dear to our hearts. He will never be forgotten. Together we will keep his memory alive.
