Steven A. Bearce Sr. October 26, 1957 – August 1, 2011 Steven Austin Bearce Sr., 53, lost his courageous fight with cancer Monday at his home in Vallejo, with his son by his side. Steven’s trade of choice was truck driving but mainly enjoyed travelling the asphalt on the back of one of his many Harleys. He was a proud and active member of N.A. for 21 years. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Becky; sons, Steven II (Shari) and Joshua; grandchildren, Leslie and Austin, mother, Marlene Porterfield, grandmother, Ruth Trimble; sister, Diana Lessley; and brother, John. The family would like to express their most heartfelt gratitude to Steven’s intimate support group who never left his side as well as his nurse, Wendy Stevenson, with Vallejo Kaiser Hospice. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo. Inurnment will be private. A “Going Away Party” and celebration of his life will be held 3:30 – 8 p.m. Saturday, August 20th at the Vallejo Women’s Club, 200 Valle Vista, Vallejo.
