Helen Adele Kaluza

Helen Adele Kaluza December 22, 1946 - October 2, 2024 Helen Adele Kaluza born as Elena Adelita Mares (77) returned to her heavenly home on October 2, 2024. Her devotion to her family and friends and her firm belief in God supported her throughout her life and ultimately gave her peace within the last years of her life. Helen was born to the late David and Juanita Mares in Jerome Arizona on December 22, 1946. She was an intelligent and beautiful woman who always put her family first. She loved storytelling, the beach, and most of all traveling the world with her husband. Helen was an energetic and optimistic person. She was a licensed pharmacologist, homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Throughout her life, she spent most of her time on the beaches enjoying the sand, the water, and collecting what she called “flat rocks” for her at home projects. No matter what, Helen always did what she put her mind to. She was a well accomplished woman and a very hard worker who will always be remembered for her efforts. Helen or “Mom” to most, was blessed with a large and loving family She married her husband and bestfriend Edward Kaluza who she always was and now forever is with. Helena raised her three beautiful children Richard C. Madigan, Gary P. Madigan, and Angela D. Madigan with discipline, patience, and humanity. She taught the boys to behave like young men, and her daughter to behave and grow into a woman. Later on down the road she was blessed with her first grandchildren, Ashley F.M. Gesell, Zachary T. Madigan, and Nick Barbarick, and Madeline M. Madigan, who she took care of growing up and was always like a second mom to. Her grandchildren were like her second set of kids, so she always spent as much time with them as possible and treated them as if they were her own. She was a caring and gentle soul who always made you feel welcomed if you walked through her door, so God gave her the gift of great grandchildren, Timothy R. Gesell, Mason J. Gesell, and Violet M. Madgan. From the very beginning, she dedicated herself, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to God, making sure they were always blessed with gifts and always prayed for. Not once would you not feel the love through her prayer and not once would a candle never be lit. Helen is preceded in death now with her husband Ed, her son Richard, her parents David and Juanita, her sister Weda, and the many cousins that she loved. She still lives through her son Gary, daughter Angela, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and all the many more who loved her. Mom will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She will be thought of by all who knew her when their feet touch the sand on the Pacific Coast, or any river they may fish. They will feel the wrap of her love when the warm summer breeze hits, and remember that she is with them whenever you see a yellow flower. Funeral Services will be held at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11:00 am. Committal Service at All Souls Catholic Cemetery, Vallejo CA on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 12:30 pm. Reception to follow at Suite Treatments- 3729 Sonoma Blvd. Vallejo CA, 94589.
