Pamela Rose Swindell

With GREAT sadness, Pamela " Sissy " Rose Nash - Swindell 73 passed away peacefully on August 15th. She put up a strong fight after they put her on hospice from her COPD and congestive heart failure! Pam grew up in Vallejo and attended Curry, Franklin Junior high and Vallejo high School! She traveled for many years and then later married and moved to Napa and was a waitress and enjoyed all her customers very much! Then she came to Vallejo and became a bus driver for Vallejo Transit and then moved to Folsom and worked for Folsom Transit before she got lung cancer and retired and came back to Vallejo 2009 to live with her brother Ron and caregiver Deme! She enjoyed going up to the American River at Ponderosa Park and being with her camping family, fishing, rafting, painting rocks, pot lucks and going to the casino with her friends! She was so happy that she was able to attend her Celebration of Life while she was still alive, she had the best time and ate chocolate for months after the party! :) Pam's highlights during her last months were visits, cards and calls from her great nieces, Ashleen ,Kelly, Megan, Anna, Julianna ,Alexa and Luna and great nephews, Logan, Jonathon, Kane and Joshua. Pam's last outing was over at Sean and Ric Davenport's house for our Thursday night get togethers, ( They would treat her like a Princess ) She REALLY was hoping she could get better so she could go for one last meal and one last casino trip with her good friends, Arie and Marie! She really missed her phone conversations with her long time friend Carolyn Strange. She wanted her next celebration of her life to be at the river with her camping family and whoever would like to come and enjoy tacos and potluck and remember the good times on September 24th.She lived a good life with gust and vigor with whatever she did, she always had a good time! She was funny and loving and also could be a Pita! ;) She was like having a teenage daughter! So please remember all the good memories and fun times that you shared together with her. if you can't come to the celebration of life, eat a taco in her memory :) She was predeceased in death by her parents Lloyd and Viola Nash, her brother Melvin Nash, her husband Jack Swindell, stepdaughter Trina Swindell, her fiance, Steve Pirkey and is survived by her Faithful fur baby Maya who REALLY misses her a lot and her brother Ron Nash ( Deme) sister-in-laws, Sandy, Barbara, Joyce, and Sabrina Nash, stepchildren Darla Matthews, Mike Swindell, Jackie Swindell, Ryan Love, Paul Pirkey, Kevin Pirkey, Chad Pirkey, Jenna and Jordan Love and several grandchildren and several great nieces and nephews that she loved very much! She is also survived by her nephews, Bobby and Sam Swindell, and Andrew Nash, who came over whenever she needed him day or night. He was really good to her, and she truly appreciated him a lot and we'll never forget it! Also survived by, nephews, Vinnie Nash, John Thevenot, Nick Andrews, Dillon Stall, Dan Blankenship and Nieces, Carla Seto, Juanita Campbell, Rachel Morrison, Kaylin Stall-Nash Maycock, Quya, Lashawna and her favorite cousin Stevie Nash!
